Benefits of Modular Construction in Exmouth

Smart Building Solutions

MIRA’s modular homes are designed for Exmouth’s coastal climate and unique Ningaloo lifestyle. Many of our homes are ideally suited to coastal, remote and difficult-to-access sites, making them a practical building solution for the Exmouth region. With most construction completed off-site in a controlled environment, we reduce many of the delays and challenges associated with traditional building methods, providing a faster, more efficient way to build in Exmouth and surrounding areas.

Fast Build Times

By completing your home's modules off-site while site preparation is underway, we can significantly reduce overall construction timeframes. Depending on the design and site requirements, a modular home can be completed in as little as 12 weeks*, offering a faster, more efficient alternative to traditional building methods in Exmouth and regional Western Australia.

Sustainable Building

Our modular construction process helps reduce waste by building homes in a controlled factory environment. This approach improves material efficiency, minimises resource consumption and supports the delivery of high quality, energy efficient homes with a lower environmental impact.

Less Disruptive, More Convenient

Traditional home builds can involve extended site works, ongoing disruption and weather-related delays. With modular construction, most of the building process is completed off-site in a controlled environment, resulting in a faster installation, reduced site disturbance and less impact on your property and surrounding area.

Uncompromised Quality

We design every home to comply with the relevant WA building standards and the Shire of Exmouth's local planning requirements. Where required, we can incorporate solutions tailored to local conditions, including coastal exposure, cyclonic wind regions, bushfire-prone areas and other site-specific requirements.

Cyclone Rated Homes

Our homes are engineered for Exmouth's demanding coastal environment, with cyclone-rated construction, durable materials and design features that enhance insulation, ventilation and year-round comfort. Built to withstand strong winds, salt air and harsh weather conditions, every MIRA home is designed for long-term performance, resilience and comfortable living for decades to come.

How we work

Your Modular Home Journey

Consultation and Discovery

Your journey starts with a sit-down and a chat. Whether we meet online or in person, we’ll take the time to learn about your lifestyle, budget, your land and what you want your future home to look and feel like.

Design

After gaining a clear understanding of your vision, we’ll guide you through our curated selection of home designs. Together, we’ll customise the layout, features and finishes to create a home that suits your lifestyle, needs and personal taste.

Pre-Construction

Before construction begins, we’ll manage the required approvals and guide you through the selection of colours, materials and finishes, ensuring a smooth and efficient build process.

Construction

This is where the speed of modular building shines. Construction begins at our secure manufacturing facility in Perth, where your home is built with precision before being transported to your site. We complete the steel frame, external cladding, roofing, windows, doors and interior finishes, including cabinetry, tiling and fittings, in a controlled environment.

You’ll be invited to a pre-delivery inspection at our Henderson factory, giving you the opportunity to walk through your completed home before it arrives on site. Throughout the build, you can track progress through our Client Portal, with construction completed in as little as 12 weeks*, depending on the design.

Transportation and Installation

We’ll coordinate transport and handle all logistics on your behalf. Our team then positions and secures each module on site using specialised equipment.

After installation, we complete the necessary on-site work, including plumbing, electrical connections, and other exterior elements, so your home is fully ready to move in.

Handover and Move In

Once your build is installed, it’s time for key handover. You’re all set to move in and make the house, your home.
